Thanks for the reminder, Shirl- will have to set the PVR to record that, I always enjoy it.

I've never understood why they start so late, would have thought early May is better? To do with birds fledging, I suppose.

My trigger for saying 'Now it's summer' is the opening of dog daisy flowers – and the ones round here are just about to open.

I have to say I love the coverage of the birds of prey, may absolute favourite bits are from the Golden Eagle nest, stunning!

Now Springwatch is over, excluding the edition of Unsprung tonight, what did you think about it?
I thought it was one of the best I have seen. I liked having Unsprung before the main programmes and thought the content of the main programmes was very good. It is always good seeing Lloyd Buck's birds but I thought the presentation (barring a few of the comments by Michaela) was interesting and entertaining.

Loved it. Think the format was the best so far, as for the photography - wow! Seriously dedicated wild life photographers. Agree I too prefer Unsprung being first. The Golden Eagle was amazing and just loved the stoats. Got very sad at some, but that is nature. Good I suppose that gone are the days that when anything remotely distressing is not shown.
