Hi, I've had this tree growing in my garden for a few years. I think it came with a native hedge mix that we bought 7 years ago, it spent a few years in a small pot - it seems to be the only of this species we have. I was hoping it was going to flower this year, which would have helped with identification, but I'm not sure that's going to happen. The leaves are alternate, slightly glossy on top and slightly furry underneath. They have slightly serrated leaf margins. The branches also seem to be alternate. The bark is green to brown with shallow furrows that are vertical. The closest I've gotten is buckthorn, but I'm really not sure. I'll try to add more photos in the comments below. Many thanks for any help or pointers.

A sallow, Salix caprea. Always a chance of hybrid as Salix are very promiscuous, though caprea certainly has this appearance.
