'Highlands: Scotland's Wild Heart' tomorrow Wednesday 11th on BBC1 looks very good in the trailer at any rate – some spectacular photography.

What time is it on?
I've just looked through the schedule for tomorrow from 7.00am until midnight and couldn't see it.
Is it only being shown in Scotland?

OK, looks like it's BBC Scotland - 21:00.
We're getting 1000 elephants instead, so some mountains, but of dung.

Can't wait to watch it. Since first ad I put it on record and reminder. Hope it is as good as the ad.
I think it has already been shown on BBC1 or part of it. Last month I got highly frustrated as I had seen ad for it, only to find that here I cannot get BBC1. maybe you can pick it up on iplay now. Anyway I was delighted when I saw BBC1 Scotland was showing it.

I think this is a new one. There are so many programmes about the Highlands (deservedly so) but this one looks extra good. You should get it on iPlayer, though that's a bad show if you can't get BBC1 where you are.

I looked for it on the BBC website, and it says "This programme will be available shortly after broadcast" so hopefully we'll get it, too!

Well I thought the programme was pretty good, lovely photography and I learnt something new about red squirrels, looking forward to next episode. Just one problem Ewan McGregor has the sort of relaxed calm voice that is inclined to make me nod off. Same the programme is on at 8:00 by which time I am flagging - it's an age thing:)

Little Voice is probably my favourite of his. Totally off-topic.

The photography was very good, lots of careful observations of behaviour etc. But I did find the commentary a bit naff: e.g. little ginger furry thing with long bushy tail bounds across the screen; voiceover 'It's a red squirrel' – and there was I thinking it was an escaped giant panda.

Had to laugh Faith! I did wonder a couple of times if Ewan did actually know what the animals were.

Still think the photography is really excellent but commentary irritating me now. Think I might watch the winter one with the sound off.
