Nice one Dave, I will be returning to the blues later with some I think you will enjoy; incidentally I have made a note so not to forget, but due to the fact I am not at home so much at present it may take a little while. However for now... John Fogerty Down on the corner

Having been working a lot of each day in a room where there is no internet connection, and only an old tape recorder, I have been listening to Dr Hook and Queen. Tapes getting a bit squeaky now.

I thought I would introduced you to what son number two is into at present, like father like son, well not quite! However, I have chosen a nice gentle piece to start with becoming heaver. As far as I understand this chaps music ranges from ambient to progressive rock to thrash metal with vocals ranging over five octaves. Son number two being an experienced bass player has spoken to Devin Townsend in the hope of arraigning a project between them, has Devin does freelance from time to time, probably something in the progressive rock genre I expect. Oh, and Devin does not believe in shredding which is good news! Devin Townsend The very appropriately named... Heatwave An impressive vocal on this next one, in fact the more I listen to this track the more I like it, hmm must be having a second mid-life crises on second thoughts I do not think I had any, although I have felt a bit strange a couple of times. (see epic guitar solo) and the faces this guy pulls is quite evidently happy in his own skin. Kingdom Namasts March of the poozars

I've not herd of this bloke, Alan. Definitely interesting and a good range of tunes. Perhaps the faces he pulls means someone else is happy in his skin -
This hot weather has inclined me towards Canned Heat and jug band music -

Here are the blues I promised Dave; I have also chosen a good mix of his music to try and represent his full range of sounds and styles; however the poor chap had a very tragic life due to ill health passing away in his early forties... The Jeff Healey band See the light Sitting on top of the world A mark Knopfler song this one but played here by the Jeff Healey band, second guitar Mark Knopfler... I think I love you too much The Jeff Healey band Confidence man The Jeff Healey band Rock / pop this one I should have told you Jeff Healey band Power ballad this one Angel Eyes I thought listeners may like to hear Jeff’s other great love that being jazz from the 1920s / 30s, an eclectic mix one might say but not all that unusual though, sounding very much like Django Reinhardt here. However here he is on both guitar and trumpet a musician after my own heart. Some of those days

Jeff Healey was a new name to me, Alan. Thanks for posting. Sad that such a talent is no longer with us.
