Pity they don't say at what time they are taking off, wonder if we might see them in space before they get too far from earth.

It's a day time launch at 09:31 Universal Time which I think is the same as our time ( not sure about that),I don't know if we would be able to see if from here and in daylight though.

Unfortunately we won't be able to see it just after its launch. It is being launched from Kazakhstan and will be travelling eastwards after launch, to gain extra speed from the Earth's rotation, so it will be going away from us after its launch. Although we won't be able to see it directly we can watch it here - www.esa.int/Our_Activities/Space_Science/ExoMars/Watch_ExoMars_launch. I don't know if the spacecraft will make many/any orbits of the Earth before it sets off for Mars. If so, then spotting it at night might be possible. Dave I have found the real time transmission of recent space flights fascinating. The Rosetta mission in 2014 was great to watch.
