Still waiting for spring to arrive - if only. Birds certainly think it is, lots of chasing and singing.

Some good shots of the signs of Spring.
I would have posted a photo of my sign of Spring for today but persons of a nervous disposition might view it, so I'll just say I sat out in T shirt and shorts this afternoon.

If it is any consolation Alan, change is on the way here. This morning was like yesterday - still and very warm, but the wind is picking up now and although it is still very sunny it feels quite cold.

Well despite it being very cold (still got double layers of thermals on)The birds are all at it and yesterday caught a couple of my pine martens mating (on cam). Robin is busy making nest in wood shed. Dunnock has chosen a gap between our oil tank and the wall, and to my absolute surprise one single crocus has opened up full bloom nowhere near where I actually planted crocus (don't know the plural)out the front of the house, those that I planted at the back of the house are just beginning to show through the ground.

Dave Thermals still on here too! Bit of sun peeping through at the moment but at 6C it's definitely not T shirt and shorts weather here. Shirl

One of my definite signs of spring... the sunlight touched the side of the pond for the first time this year- hurrah! The frogs were pleased about it, too. Another week or so, and they'll be basking. Sun on the Pond Mar11 2016

Had to drive to Oban today and saw a glorious display of snowdrops carpeting a hill beneath the trees - just lovely - pity it was raining, so did not stop to take photos - and how come they have spring and we don't? ( it is ok I do know, much higher here and they are near gulf stream - just jealous)

lots of small slugs eating bluebell leaves, caterpillars doing the same, newts out of the water and busy in it - it's a mild damp night!

A few more migrants beginning to arrive in Hampshire now, several Chiff Chaffs reported yesterday at Blashford Lakes and a Whitethroat today near Southampton, (more Chiff Chaff elsewhere today too) and one Osprey.
