My birding is extremely limited lately due to a problem with my foot but the Blue Rock Thrush that had been found at Stow-on-the-Wold was too much to resist. Thankfully it was a sparkling sunny day when I arrived with the hordes of other birders to watch a very showy bird perching regularly on the various chimneys before dropping down into the gardens to feed. 212.Blue Rock Thrush Attachments:

My last list contributions for the year, (unless there's a Barn Owl in the garden this evening - unlikely, it would be a first for the garden).
175 Velvet Scoter 176 Kittiwake

I don't do lists as such just keep a record in my head but last year what with buying a scope and going into bird watching mode I decided to at least do one for Besthorpe and planed to visit once a week, that didn't work out to well did it still as and when we were allowed out I resumed my plan and was hoping for 100+ but only 91 species recorded, there have been a few I've not been able to ID and quite a few I would have expected to see 'coal tit, goosander and quite a few others' I don't think I'll be starting a new list just keep adding to the existing list This year I may try my hand at a little Digi-scoping after all that was the thought behind buying a scope in the first place ian
