Since we've not gotten around to creating a Wildlife Art section, I'll put this here for now. This is a painting I did of the fox that comes into our garden, done from photos I've taken of him over the past few months... it's acrylic on board. Beautiful !! wonderful detailing and colour. What a talent you've got Rowenberry !!! I hope you've got this on your wall. BW

Here's a watercolour of snow buntings. You may say snow buntings don't look like this, but for some reason they did on this occasion. (I don't know how to make it bigger [should you wish to see it bigger]) Very different from that splendid fox! Snow buntings landscape by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr Wonderful watercolour Faith !!!! you've captured them perfectly !!! Love the use of colour BW

Hi NellyDee your iPad paintings are really good and really nice ! I had a go at doing that about a month ago and mine were complete rubbish !!! Hi Sturkling have been following your marvellous diaries for quite some time, but must admit, I've not dropped in on them for at least 12 months ...so I apologise !! ...... will get cracking on catching up !!!

Thanks, Birdie! It is hanging up; it's a portrait of our beloved Fionn, who visited our garden almost daily for an entire year. It's been two years ago this week that he vanished, and I still miss him to this day. He was a one-off fox, and we were very lucky to have the chance to know him. One of my resolutions for this year is to try and get back into painting... I can see one in my head I'd like to do of the jays, so that's on the agenda!

I'm sad for you Rowanberry about your Fionn I strongly doubt he has come to any harm , but simply moved on to another territory, January is their mating month and finding a safe haven for the onset of the cubs is important. He is highly likely to be somewhere else, happily living alongside his mate and possibly even in a small social family group. Although you miss him, please get some comfort from this. I'm looking forward to your next painting I rarely see them in acrylic, it's a wonderful medium, such lovely colours and your detailing is amazing, and I do so love Jays.
