Good ones, Ian, especially the second. Sitting with a view like that and a glass of Speckled Hen, my that must have been tough.

Hi, These photos, taken from my back door November 10th 2016 at twenty past four in the afternoon, they were taken about 3 minutes apart and are in sequence, any info on formation or cause would be appreciated. Those are very impressive cloud banks, Duncan... it almost looks as though there's a tornado trying to form in your last two shots.
I actually took this last Sunday, and am only getting around to uploading it today. I thought the colours gave it a rather tropical appearance- quite unusual for an early November sunrise!

Agree that could have been taken somewhere much warmer.
Good shots Duncan. Can't help on the cause but the second one in particular reminds me of second part of the rhyming couplet, from the Scottish play, that begins -
"By the pricking of my thumbs..."

Some on here might have heard on the weather forecasts over the last few days about good weather in the north west. The weather at end of last week and the weekend in Gairloch would have been good for May; for November it was amazing. This was just after the sun dipped below the hills on Saturday evening. Dave

Thanks RB. Apart from a wonderfully warm day, to sit and watch the colours developing was a treat.
I feel a bit churlish for saying this but I would have liked there to have been some cloud to catch the light.
