The blackbirds here have thinned out a little I can't see any berries on the shrubs in the back gardens and there now feeding more on the ground we'll keep feeding them although I've got to teach the wife what to and what not to put out. The other day she put some cheese puffs out just half a dozen and they caused a bit of conflict, one male grabbed one and went into full defensive mode stood upright tailed fanned out and pressed into the ground looking as big as possible. It was quite funny really watching him strut around with a cheese puff in his beak like a big yellow cigar chasing every other bird away. Numbers wise when I spend 5-10 mins looking out of the back bedroom window I'm still getting a count of between half a dozen to a dozen plus birds and fortunately all looking in good nick, may it stay that way ian
