I often find the small distinctive blue feathers from the jays during the early autumn when they're moulting. Today I found this feather under their birdtable- it's the largest one I've picked up I know is definitely from them. Must be from a wing?

Jay primary feather Rowanberry; being brown / black, the base is barred as is your example, the outer web greyish /white. The secondaries are more varied in colour with the outer web (the smallest side) having a great deal of white starting around half way down with a small amount of blue barring, the smaller the size of the secondaries become the more varied amount of blue barring, with no white on the outer web, the innermost secondary being chestnut brown, the tail feathers are brown / black.
