I was getting worried that I was not seeing the pine martens but all the food was eaten - realised that the Wood pigeons and Hoody and Mate had found where I was hiding it so there was one for the Pine Marten, so I moved feeding place to beneath the BBQ and moved the cam. There he was the young pine marten. Problem was in morning cam Hoody and mate were wandering around the area, but did not sus where the food was - they are so clever they will probably find it. Luckily no sigh of the wood pigeons, they are back to being around the feeders. I think the pine marten is a male? Good video. Hope that the 'dopey' blue tit parent you have does not make the nest site obvious to this character.
I'm fairly sure a pine marten took a nest of young blackbirds here about six years ago.

I have not seen them near any of the nests near the house, but that is not to say they don't raid the many nests in the trees and bushes in the area. The only things they consistently pinch here are the fat square feeders and the nut feeders, we usually find them up in the woods, sometimes years later. they have worked out that if they pull the feeders up towards them they can get them off their hooks. by the way blue tits have fledged.

Oh, I am glad you've got a pine marten still about. I know how I'd feel if all the foxes were to vanish- I'd really miss them. Is that a deck or patio he's eating on? It looks like a lovely spot to sit and watch your bird feeders from.

It is a deck in a corner at the back of the house.
