Over the years I have thought about getting one.The old antiquey ones look nice, but are they any good.
Has anyone got a M/scope and does it get used? I would be wanting to look at feathers, dead insects, shells, leaves, grubs, fungi or anything else I thought might be interesting.
In other words "just a general microscope for nature". Any opinions or advice would be welcome. Cheers for now Roders……………………...

I can't really advise anything, other than to say look for second-hand ones on Ebay, (it's the sort of thing a student might sell after getting out of uni... you might find a bargain that way!)
I've not had one since I was a child, but it was a fascinating world to see!

Have you looked at the USB ones? Viewing on your monitor has to be easier than squinting down an eye piece As ever quality will depend on price but some I've looked at seem to get decent reviews and not too expensive ian
