Hi all, Why do birds roost (sleep) on one leg only. I have tried it but kept falling over . I used to think it was due to temperature and a means of stopping the cold from rising to the body. However I am not so sure now as in the past I have bred canaries in a warm environment and they do it also ,even on warm summer evenings or if they have a snooze in the day. So what's the answer and theory behind it folks. Cheers for now Roders………..
