love the photo. I found it interesting that the blackbirds gathering insects in the grass were getting mouth fulls but, the mistle thrush seem to be finding very little, realised of course that they were looking for worms and with the few days of hot weather we have been having the ground is hard.

Actually, I thought it was a juvenile blackbird - the adult had been stuffing worms into its mouth just moments before!

I was talking about my blackbird and mistle thrush Alf - yours indeed is blackbird and juvenile.

We seem to be low on blackbirds this spring... after years of having a pair around every day, I do miss them.
