Having had no electricity all day I enjoyed sitting in the sun pond watching, and I realised that something seemed to be struggling out the weeds. I had to try taking photo from a distance but I hope, if you enlarge the screen, you will be able to tell me what it is. I did eventually fly off. Gosh - thank you for ID. All sorts seem to be emerging at the moment, problem is they move so far once airborne, been dashing about trying to get photos when they land on a bush or plant. In the pond more Greater Diving Beetles are appearing and the Lavae getting bigger - think they have eaten nearly all the tadpole! I get worried when I see one going towards the little newts. Saw two seemingly trying to eat each other - what a tussle.
