Can't add any yet, but as large parts of the UK, particularly in the south east, have had a lot of very warm weather recently, I'm waiting for a story about a fox coming in an open door and attacking people/pets.

Usual garbage from the Express. Makes a change from catastrophic weather warnings or Diana murder conspiracy theories. The Adder is very much in decline + only attacks in defence. Maybe dog walkers in known Adder areas ought to keep their pooches on a lead!

Dave Don't! I'm worried about the exact same thing...Snowlynx got told off the other day because he happened to mention the fox that comes in our garden... he was told that they are ruthless killers just waiting for a chance to sneak into the house and rip out the throats of slumbering innocents in the dead of night. (thank goodness I don't have a cat-flap...I'd never sleep a wink. You can see Foxy here hard at work, plotting our demise even now... have you ever seen such a sinister expression??

That is a lovely shot. However, it is clearly trying to lull you. It will be inside in seconds, dressing up as a Grandmother and getting into a bed(they have learned from Wolves, you know), so you'd better be careful Some people appear to have an irrational fear of foxes but are there any verified attacks on people? They are great opportunists and will enter houses. We have seen evidence of foxes coming in a couple of times, but we left the back door open so can't complain, but it seems some folks think that nothing in the natural world should have any impact on them - if they leave a door open and a fox comes in, it is clearly the foxes fault. ...she has to have had some form of paranoia about flying insects to have reacted that strongly! I knew someone once who used to freak out, (in a massive way) at the sight of a dead bird. I saw this one a few days ago, after George Monbiot cooked a squirrel on live television. www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/11372438/Would-you-eat-squirrel-for-your-dinner.htmlwhat I thought made the whole things so ridiculous were people's reactions- totally over-the-top comments on how revolted viewers were to seeing HOW MEAT IS PREPARED.....shock horror!!! To be fair to George Monbiot, here is also the (sane and rational) article he wrote justifying his actions... not sure I could eat roadkill, but I certainly wouldn't turn down a bowl of squirrel stew, (especially if it were made with a certain little furry so-and-so who's been chewing up my woodpecker feeder! ) www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/aug/27/why-i-ate-a-roadkill-squirrel
