When I've things to do or it's duff weather the dog gets a short walk in the morning around the wood over the road. Today I took the camera with me for a few snaps in the early morning sunshine The daffs have died back and the bluebells are all up now 'we get blue, white and purple here' I suspect most are hybrids. The yellow archangel and green alkanet are in flower too. As for the Oak tree I'm amazed every time I look at it, you can see right through it nowadays. I remember quite some years ago there was a large and quite beautiful growth of chicken of the woods fungus on it 'I've a photo somewhere' and for sure this among other fungi I've seen on it are to blame for it's state today The last photo was taken on my phone last week woodland fairybells only seen them once or twice must be escapees, still very pretty I'll try to get back when there open ian bluebells by ian robinson, on Flickr yellow archangel by ian robinson, on Flickr green alkanet by ian robinson, on Flickr old oak by ian robinson, on Flickr woodland fairybells by ian robinson, on Flickr

Bluebells... definitely one of my favourites. Nice the way you've caught them with the light coming through. We're hoping to get to the bluebell woods next week, weather permitting. I never can remember the name of green alkanet, but I like its flowers. Glad to see you had sunshine this morning as well!
