Was beginning to despair but at last our Daffodils are out, there are banks of Snowdrops, the cherry tree has bloomed, The Larch is beginning to show signs of green, the Goats Willow has got it's leaves (no sign on any of the other trees getting their leaves though, got a bit surprised that all on it's lonesome Cowslip and lots of Wood Anemone. cowslip 2018 by Helen Skelton, on Flickr

I've been about to give up as well... after a very brief bit of unseasonably warm weather it's reverted back to single-digit temps here. Today, lovely sunshine for several hours this morning and I took some photos of the blossoms on the apple tree. I did take some last week, but it was so overcast they didn't come out very well. Had better luck with them today. Apple Blossoms May2018 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr

It was a glorious day yesterday the first day of sunshine for a long time. Lots of lovely Buff-tail Bumblebees happy on the cherry blossom. I don't know why but this morning most of the cherry flowers have lost their petals - seemed to be very short time in flower. At least some of the heather has blossomed so bumbles have something to feed on. Buff-tailed Bumblebee May 6 by Helen Skelton, on Flickr
