At first I thought someone next door was burning rubbish, there was such a cloud wafting around in the garden. It took me a few minutes to realise it was actually coming out of the tree- every time there was a breath of wind it would cause a thick mist to appear out of it. I've never seen it do this to such an extent! I'm not exactly sure what sort of tree it is... would be interested to know, because Snowlynx is suffering with hayfever already and I'm wondering if this could be the culprit. I'll try and get some close-up photos of foliage and trunk tomorrow, if we get a bit of rain to settle the dust a bit- I didn't fancy standing under it today! That is what lot of pollen- impressive photo. Think it's a Cupressus species. Like all wind pollinated plants they need to produce much more pollen that those that use animals such as insects, birds, etc.
