Hi NellyDee there called frog hoppers this is a black and red one on some water avens, not sure about the second photo maybe a beefly ian by ian robinson, on Flickr

The first shows a species of hoverfly. Froghopper nymphs produce the cuckoo spit, but not the species Ian shows which is the so-called Red + Black Froghopper, Cercopis vulnerata, as the nymphs of this species feed on roots below ground.
Your caterpillar looks like a species of millipede to me.

I do wonder at myself at times! What on earth made me think it was a caterpillar? It so obviously is not. Will have to go through my book of insects and look up what millipede it is. Thank you:)
