Not seen by me but rather by my brother in law. On a trip into Lincoln the other week to pick his wife up from a shopping trip walking from the car park into the city centre he looked over the bridge wall into the water, usually plenty of fish to be seen and was surprised to see 3/4 Otters playing in the water below. Time around midday I guess. This piece of the Witham runs pretty much through the middle of the city and into the Brayford pool a marina in the centre of a rather busy shopping and college area. I've seen pictures and read articles in the local rags about sightings over the past few years in the same area, so it seem my tactics of remote and quite locations for such encounters may not be the right one I did see one once swimming in the lake at a local nature reserve, just once ian

Interesting. My cousin lives in Lincoln, will have to tell him! I saw an otter munch a fish (?) in the river Eden, Carlisle, think was last March(?) bit of googling showed they are quite well known there.
