Can someone please tell me if these are Jack O'Lantern mushrooms or False Chanterelles or...? They are growing in my greenhouse, in one of the troughs which is filled with shop-bought general purpose compost. They are growing in between a row of Brussels sprouts and a row of beetroots. They are on average 3" tall, the tallest is 4" but most are around 3". The caps have a hollow indentation on the outside. I have looked on a couple of occasions but didn't notice any 'glowing gills' at night - I don't know if this is a myth or truth. Can't say on smell as I have a cold at present and am blocked up. I haven't taken a spore print as yet but will do so. I'm in Fife. Any ideas? I'm hoping these will now show.

That's a standard hand trowel in the bottom 3 photos to give some idea of size/length.

Sorry, Wingy! Your Photobucket links don't appear to be working Something that seems to be happening with a lot of Photobucket accounts recently. Would you be able to link them to a Flickr account? Without being able to see photos it will be difficult for any of our fungi-expert members to know... but I did find this video about the difference between chanterelles and Jack O'Lantern mushrooms. It's American, but might still be of some use! www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPyKzwqF9nw

When I looked yesterday the photos were showing seems it takes PB a while to cut the link. But don't Wingy they've done it to all who refuse to pay. There loss.

I hadn't been to Photobucket in years so didn't know about the change for the free accounts. I jumped ship. So hopefully the photos should now show, fingers crossed.
I did cut one of the stalks and it was orange inside and hollow.
Thanks for the link to the video Rowanberry - I didn't even think to look on YouTube.
