These guys usually start wandering around the house about this time every year (looking for somewhere to lay their eggs?). Seeing one on the ceiling last night it got me to thinking - surely they need to drink water? Where? How? I know in the bath tub, but where else, not in the bedroom or hallway. Silly me wondered if I should put out a little bowl of water. Lace Webbed Spide2 by Helen Skelton, on Flickr

Your Little one is a male, the end of his pedipalps (Palps for short) tells me this, they are 2 little protrusions from his face, they also help to maneuver food to his jaws, male Palps look like little boxing gloves where the females are straight, in the male they are a secondary sexual organ, the male spins a bit of silk and deposits his sperm on it, then just like a turkey baster he sucks it into his Palps, so when he finds his mate he injects into her Epigine from his Palp, the species is possibly Amarobius ferox.
