Could someone identify this for me please. River plant IMG_0277 by Harold Smith, on Flickr The photograph was taken in April 2014. The river is Avon Water going through Holmsley Bog in the New Forest. Harold.

The fern like could be water-milfoil the long thin green might be Pillwort, but I am not expert, the rest mainly are fallen leaves

The Milfoil I had already identified. Didn't recognise the Pillwort.
The leaves are not fallen ones as it was the wrong time of the year. The river is fast flowing and the plants were obviously rooted are they waived about but not going anywhere.
