The Pryracantha bushes down our way have been bowed down with berries this year- one down the road from us is so covered with them you can't hardly see any leaves for all the berries! The sparrows have been eating a few of them, but so far they remain largely untouched and do give a nice bit of colour to the garden. Pyracantha Nov17 by Wabi Gallery, on Flickr

Only a few spots of colour left in the woods now, and the leaves are ankle-deep. I collected a bin-bag full today to cover some of the pot plants with to protect them from frost. It also gives the jays something to play with- they love searching through them and end up tossing leaves everywhere!
