Is any body else having trouble connecting to Flickr? I've noticed that over the last couple of days it's been slow to or unable to connect ian.

Not noticed any problems lately and seems fine tonight - is it just Flickr giving you problems?

No problems with Flickr, however here the area is having problems with broadband and the telephone lines so broadband is very slow and keeps fading in and out so could be your broadband is playing up. Try turning off your router and on again.

Thanks I've done all that updated the network PCIe driver too, it's only Flickr that's slow loading for me. I'm using Avast password protector it's probably that although no problems with any other site I use it on.

I've not been having any problems with Flickr, although I have in the past- when I would try to go directly to the albums page or to an individual photo it say 'page not found'... but if I opened things in a new tab it worked ok.
Whatever the glitch was they seem to have resolved it, and it works ok for me now. It's Ebay playing up this week! They seem to go through phases.
Hopefully it's just a temporary thing for you too, Ian.

Have you tired deleting all your temp files? I have to delete all mine every other day (doing graphic design seriously fill up storage space on the computer). I delete the temp file in Windows, go to C:Local Disk> Users>(I go to myself/name of my computer) then> AppData>Local>Temp. It is also worth going to your browser setting and click on 'delete browsing history when closing', as your PC will keep the pages you browse on stand by on your computer which takes up storage space also.

Thanks NellyDee tried all of those with no joy, multiple scans in and out of safe mode, different browser and on my phone it still hangs sometimes login me in others just going to the default 'were working hard to fix the problem page' I don't think the problem is the flickr end most likely it's going to be a virgin thing, was on the phone to them for half an hour or so yesterday but no joy even they couldn't connect properly. Said they would ring back but they didn't and that's unusual for virgin I can't really complain about the service I've had from them over the years. So if I get the time I'll try later today. I'll beat in the end I always do ian

LOL! Do wonder about BT. The broadband here fades in an out - apparently we cannot get fast broadband in the Strath, but there is an inquiry (BT, the council and local MP) going on at the moment, as to try putting the fiber cable along the cycle path that has just been completed - cost too great or something. So if that is not all I had been without a telephone for 5 days - BT reckon they are doing work on the exchange but said it would be fixed by the next day. Still no telephone so another complaint raised.(by daughter on her mobile outwith the area). She got a text message next day say - Telephone now fixed. No it had not. Raised another complaint(now 9 days without telephone) and was told it would be fixed as they were still working on the exchange and the work was scheduled to be done on the 12 October?. Great! So no one can ring me - I can't ring for help if needs be, I get no mobile reception here. The only way daughter and I can connect with each other (apart for weekends) is by FB messenger. On the broadband front - we also put in a complaint there thinking it might be broadband effected by telephone as same wire. They were very good and suggested maybe we should try a new updated version of the router and sent one, which arrived here the next day. Didn't make any difference but at least I can communicate on FB.
