There was a mention on the TV this morning to mark the equinox, but also heard someone say that it means the nights are getting longer! I think they have been doing that for about the last three months.

Our garden is now almost in complete shade- it will stay that way until next March/April.

Not in shade but the sun only peeps above the hills around now or is behind the tree line.

The days are going to get shorter still in the coming months but who WABIs would change that?
I love the change in the position of the rising and setting sun during the year. I really like the light very early in the morning and late in the evening in summer but would not like the idea of a day length that hardly varied during the year. The colours in autumn, the new growth in the spring and the migrating birds in both seasons are just great. Wouldn't change it for the world.
