I find a lot of rubbish and discarded items in my allotment, one of which was a child's watering can. I stuck it in the ivy growing on an old shed at about head height thinking a bird would use it. I then realised birds wouldn't use it as it is by my bench and outdoor storage area. So I was tidying the ivy and the entrance to the watering can and a mouse popped out! I sqeeked and it popped in again Rats, moles and mice, my mammal list is growing

I like mice... I know a lot who don't, but they are such appealing little things... unless you find them indoors going through your granola. Not so good then.

I like mice, it was just so unexpected Your mice photos are a treat rowanberry! I'd like to see them more often, but I probably scared it off!

Brown flaxseed... that's what I've discovered ours like, and I scatter a bit around where I often see them. The cheeky little things are out there waiting some mornings. It might be daft feeding them, but the way I see it is if they are happy and well-fed outdoors- then that is where they will stay!
