I was touched by members' concerns when I disappeared from the forum as a result of losing our broadband during the floods so felt I should give warning that I will be disappearing again very soon. We are moving house - only a few miles but to somewhere with a bus service, a village shop and no stairs - needs must. Planning for the move is proving more complicated than I recall from previous experience. It's taking up more time and more of our thoughts than I expected so less time for WABI I'm afraid. I shall miss the wildlife here - our new home is surrounded by houses rather than fields and trees and the new garden is tiny. I'll even miss the beck in spite of living in a flood zone for the last 20 years.
I understand there is a small nature reserve within walking distance so all is not lost and I expect to be logging on again before too long.
Finally, a 'Thank you' to whoever sent the birthday email - yes I'm now officially an OAP! A bit puzzled though that it was marked from WAB yet I still cannot access the WAB site - I'm guessing someone missed out an 'I'.

Will be thinking of you and your move. Tis a wrench leaving somewhere you have lived for a long while. In case you missed the message under Happy Birthday - up top, Happy Birthday again for yesterday.

Our very best wishes go out to you Alf, I know how arduous it is having helped our boys move house more than once, shame about the wildlife too but I am sure all will turn out just fine in the end.
Oh and happy birthday dear boy.
All the best, Alan

Hope the move is going ok, Alf.... I dread it if and when we ever move again. The bird feeders alone would probably make a carload all on their own.

All the best from me too, very stressful time moving house but you will have that nature reserve to look forward too.
