Today surprised to find a Long-winged Conehead amongst some ornamental grasses (Anementhele lessoniana) in some isolated flower beds at Nine Elms- a heavily built-up area by the Thames.
Also a few Field Grasshoppers around which I've seen here before.

Currently have a Red-legged Shieldbug at the moth trap, my first for the year Nige We had about 10 of these at our traps this morning. IOD will be Oak Bush-cricket also from the traps as I tend to see it's cousin more often, the Southern Oak Bush-cricket.

I picked up what I believed to be a dead hawker from the pavement. As I looked closely I could see it was a female Migrant Hawker. Then to my surprise it began to spring back to life. It had been a cold night so must have been torpid. Managed to place her on the large bush next to me.
Later in the day I did see a male flying around.
